Ebola Virus Vaccine is Likely to be Available Before 2015

A suspected Ebola case appeared on Aug 10th at Hong Kong, according to the report of Xinhua News Agency, Hong Kong media. The 32-year-old man from Nigeria suddenly developed symptoms of diarrhea and vomiting. He is being treated, in isolation, at Princess Margaret hospital now.

It is reported that the man was lived in Kowloon Chongqing Hotel. The security said the man had asked him for help. He was sent to the hospital by ambulance and was awake then.

Preliminary tests proved his blood samples to be Ebola negative, thus ruling out the infection with Ebola virus.

WHO says that a clinical trial of an experimental vaccine against the deadly Ebola virus manufactured by British GlaxoSmithKline Pharmaceuticals is set to start next month and hopefully will be available before 2015.
